Although Tacos Por Vida may be a new concept for the Kogi team, it represents a lifetime of flavors drawn from the collective experiences of the team, spanning from La Puente to Anaheim, Norwalk to East Hollywood, and Echo Park. The team envisioned a fresh direction, and Tacos Por Vida was born—a concept rooted in hometown style. With the creative freedom to reinterpret their lives into a mix of flavors and textures they are proud of, the Tacos Por Vida team isn’t aiming to replace any taqueros or stake a new claim. Instead, they are simply being themselves, sharing their authentic selves through their cooking. Tacos Por Vida is a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the loyal Kogi fans who have supported them over the years. As Roy Choi says, “We love you. And because of you, this is our new baby. Welcome to Tacos Por Vida.”
