The Chi Pie team moved to California from Chicago back in 2017. After being in Cali for about 6 months, they realized that Los Angeles lacked good pizza. Being pizza lovers, they decided to invest in a small trailer, so small they could barely stand in it, and start making pizza. They sold out every day for the first 2 months and realized they weren’t the only ones who knew there was a lack of good pizza in LA. They have been open for 6 years and have been killing it ever since.
Both born and raised in Chicago, owners Lindsay and Malysha met during college at Eastern Michigan. They have been together since 2014. Malysha graduated with his degree in criminal justice and Lindsay graduated with her degree in psychology. They moved to California after Malysha got a job offer with LAPD, and during the 6 month span between Malysha’s job offer and the start of academy, they decided to open a food truck with the last of their savings. This is when Chi-Pie was born. Chi-Pie offers up authentic Chicago style deep-dish pizza, in addition to thin crust pies as well!
