The mission? Create the Holey Grail of donuts. Holey Grail is a culinary crusade celebrating community and sustainability through plant-based, made-to-order taro donuts. In order to promote sustainable indulgence and create an ethical donut supply chain, Holey Grail Donuts utilizes regional agriculture, authentic ingredients, and fully compostable packaging. Holey Grail partners with local farms and families to source Hawaii-grown taro and other seasonal ingredients including dragonfruit, finger limes, strawberries, honey and guava.
Holey Grail began with a brother and sister duo, Nile and Hana Dreiling, serving handmade taro donuts out of burger trailer on the north shore of Kauai every weekend. This Sunday ritual quickly gathered a cult following, resulting in a line through the parking lot of people waiting to see what fresh flavors we were unveiling each week. The movement continues to grow with an uncompromising mission to honor the original product and experience.
