Scooter’s Sweet Shack was born from the revival of two abandoned food trucks on the east coast. The owners nephew once operated an Italian Ice business during the summers, but when he took off for college, the trucks sat in a backyard for years, collecting dust and damage. With a tree crashing the windshield of one of the trucks during Hurricane Sandy, the family’s decision was that the trucks would be much happier in California… and they are! Starting with only serving Italian ice, 10 years later they have a hugely popular dessert menu including soft serve ice cream, mini donuts and donut sundaes, churros and churro sundaes, mangonadas, acai bowls, banana splits and a whole lot more! While their Italian ice is still the most popular menu item in the California heat, customers rave about the menu and its nature of being authentic, vegan, gluten free and super delicious! When it is chilly outside, the churros, mini donuts, churro sundaes and soft serve ice cream are everyone’s favorites!
