Meet Anthony
Anthony, the founder of Mr. Bartender, was born in the former Soviet Union, where the doctor who delivered him was reportedly tipped with a liter of Stolichnaya Vodka. With one great-grandfather managing a restaurant and another serving as the official responsible for alcohol distribution at the Kremlin, Anthony seemed destined for the hospitality business. Despite growing up in a household that rarely drank (except for a very red-faced and stumbling grandfather), Anthony’s interest in cocktails made him the family’s black sheep. His first bartending experience came at the age of 15 when his parents thought it would be fun for him to bartend their New Year’s Eve party. After one guest lost a fight to a Christmas tree, his parents decided to put an end to Anthony’s novelty bartending career. Years later, Anthony had an idea for a logo and barged into his roommate’s room at midnight to bring it to life. That hastily designed logo became the face of Mr. Bartender. From its early days as a scrappy operation run by college drinking buddies, Mr. Bartender has evolved into a team of skilled hospitality professionals and tireless prep workers. Today, Anthony and his team are proud to offer exceptional cocktail experiences at events large and small. As Anthony says, “The rest is…actually pretty well-documented because we live in the digital age. Cheers!”
