Noah Zaret and Dylan Walsh, lifelong friends from Pacific Palisades, embarked on a venture to bring classic smash burgers to West Los Angeles. Despite having no prior experience in the food industry, the two, who share a deep passion for food, recognized a gap in the local market. After graduating from Palisades Charter High School in 2022, Zaret headed to Cornell and Walsh to George Washington, but their love for food brought them back to their hometown. Together, they perfected their smash burger recipe through trial and error, eventually earning rave reviews from LA food critic Adam Alber, known as @RickLox, which led to overwhelming demand for their burgers.
Three months ago, Noah Zaret and Dylan Walsh took a bold gamble, investing every penny they had to pursue their dream of running their own food truck and keeping Sunset Smash alive. Today, they are thrilled to announce that their venture has paid off, and they are staying open.
